Discussion:  Purpose of the Learning Journal - Getting up and running.  
Decision made to start with 'Learning Journal' as a reflection tool, and then when Statistics start to move to using it to integrate the Learning Competency "Questioning".  
Lesson Outline:  Writing lesson

* Develop Success Criteria with the children

Year Seven and Eight - Technology

* Although this is not mathematics, this is an example of the work that we are doing to integrate the Learning Competencies into the programme and planning
* The Video Photography programme - brief was to create a Documentary showcasing the Year 7/8 Technology Programme
* Students created a documentary with the theme "Technology is"  
* We used the Learning Competencies and the language to showcase how these are directly related to the programme

* Although not in mathematics when the children become more familiar with using this language they will see links across the curriculum
